Miss America 2013, TV personality and now currently running for Congress (as a Democrat, to unseat Republican Rep. Mike Rogers from his longtime hold on East Alabama’s 3rd District), Mallory Hagan certainly wears a lot of hats! As a certified jet-setter, we decided to ask Mallory for her expert tips on traveling. The 29-year-old Opelika, Alabama native is giving us a peek on what PORTMANTOS item she takes with her everywhere she goes!
FAVORITE TRAVEL ESSENTIAL: The Brookstone 2 in 1 Down Travel Pillow, and my Total Sleep Mask System by Dandelion Dreams is amazing. They both keep me comfortable and well-rested during any flight. I will not step on a plane without them!
FAVORITE TRAVEL APP: Life on the campaign means that Waze is currently my best friend.
FAVORITE TRAVEL READING: Anything funny. If I'm not working while traveling, I like to relax from point A to point B. I recently bought "You're not that great" by Elan Gale. It's hilarious.
FAVORITE MUSIC: Prince. All day, every day.
FAVORITE TRAVEL OUTFIT: Beyond Yoga pants (the material is to die for) and a long, comfy sweater.
FAVORITE BEAUTY ESSENTIAL: My Rodan and Fields lash boost. I have completely stopped wearing fake lashes and for someone like me…that's a big step ;)
FAVORITE SNACK ON-THE-GO: Iced coffee. Does that count?
FAVORITE TRAVEL ENTERTAINMENT: It depends on how I'm traveling, but I love listening to a Ted Talk playlist. I'm entertained and learning at the same time... can't be mad at that.
FAVORITE DESTINATION: So far, my favorite place on earth is Israel. I love traveling there!
